Paris

We had a wonderful two weeks with my Mom and Dad, who are now at home in Indiana safe and sound! More on that soon, but I want to talk about our weekend trip to Paris!
Late on Friday afternoon our neighbour Louise took us to the airport to catch our flight into CDG. We had a short and easy flight and were met at the airport by E's bio brother and his adoptive mom. I was a bit worried about the meeting, but it went very well! (PTL!). E's BB had a classic kids book about a little mouse living in Paris and a little frog for a gift. We took the RER and then the metro to their apt. in the 3rd. They have such a wonderful apt and the area is amazing-very busy and lots to see! That night we had a yummy tea made my H's dad and then we sent the kids off to H's room to play while the grown-ups talked. There was an ease to our talking, which was great. Got the kids ready for bed, read stories and then turned out the lights. They stayed up til 1AM talking! The next morning H said " I liked the part where we hugged". Talk about making a Mom cry :) (Happy tears)!. Sat. morning we got up to fresh bread and many types from the local bakery. Yum. Off we went to Notre Dame while H had his dance class. We had forgotten that it was a holiday (memorial day) so the class was canceled. We met them at the playground near Notre Dame where H's dad had gotten a book for both of them. E's is a kids book of famous sites in Paris! Great gift! We went to lunch at a Pasta/Pizza place where H goes every Wed. with his Mom. It was very special to see the places that are a part of their daily lives! In the afternoon we took the boys on the Paris boat trip, which they enjoyed. They played a game with each bridge, and enjoyed seeing them! I am amazed at how much E remembers! Home again, to have a yummy roast and veg. The boys were up late again, as were the parents! Sunday morning we had hommade crepes (yum!), and then went to see the Eiffel Tower. The line was about 30 minutes long, but the boys were very good! They did decide that the tower was more fun from the ground! To lunch at a yummy seafood place with awesome food! Oh, and more wine! Home to the playground, and then the apt. for more play time. Soon it was time to head to the airport. Our hosts were amazing and lovely. We had a blast!
