Monday

Well we've had a busy day and it's o nly 2PM. This morning we got up did our LA and Math and then went to the library, a playdate and then on to mcD's for lunch where we saw lots of friends. This afternoon we just finished up Konos Africa day 2. We did not have the fab time I thought we would. In fact, given all the books we've read about Egypt I thought E would have retained something. Maybe he has and it is just not obvious today.

Math: Math U See Primer Lesson 17 C
LA: LLATLBlue: Section 2 Week 4 Days 1 and 2:
Phonics: Read week four reader and do matching and activity sheet.
Blend new words: on, hot, mom, tom, fan, tot, hat, rot, not, mat, hat
Using R, F, T we will use blended word carts to identify starting and ending sounds.
Handwriting: air writing and unlined writing of m, h, and o. (I am amazed how well E's handwriting is coming along!) Lined practice with m, h and o.
Lunch: Hmmmmmmmmmm
Konos: Week 1, Day 3
Continue reading about Egypt

1. Read about the Great Sphinx and make a model out of clay.
2. Read about pyrmids and add a pyrmid to our map.
3. Read Exodus 5:1-23 and make mud bricks with and without straw (grass)
4. Build a sugar cube pyramid and talk about the step pryamids.
5. Read about hieroglyphics and make our own on a mural.
6. Watch The Prince of Egypt and look for hieroglyphics and pyrmids.
7. Read about King Tut
8. Bedtime reading (listen to the Mummy story on our CDs of the Magic Treehouse).
