What are you gonna do?

I think we're going to try going tv free for awhile. It seems that the older BL gets, the more media hooked he gets. If given his way, all he'd do is play computer, watch tv, listen to his iPod. Now, don't get me wrong, there is a time and a place for all of these things. Still, I think we're going to try going cold turkey with the tv. I need to do a bit of research first. Come visit and see how the family is doing sans tv!

Happy New Years Eve!

One of my goals is to update the site more!
We are trying something new (thanks, FIAR girls!) this year. Each hour Ethan is opening a bag with the time written on it. Each bag has an activity for us to do together leading up to midnight and 2008. This is the first year that I'm letting Mr. E stay up for the party!
Much love and peace!

Almost a year

Well, it's been almost a year from the time we got home. Lots has happened-mostly good. Ethan is now in K, we have a great new home, Tink has entered our lives. Tonight I got not one, but two Christmas cards from NI friends. Lovely. It's funny, but most days I think about NI, Belfast or friends from there at least once. When we got home I figured that it was just reverse culture shock-and it was. Still, a year on, I feel that I've left part of my heart in NI and long to go back. I'd live ther eagin, given the chance. I feel blessed by God to have had the chance, to have met the friends, etc.

Veg., It's whats for lunch!

Well, dear ML fans, I decided to be a bit sneaky on cooking this week. The Baby Llama doesn't like any fruit but pineapple or peaches, and only likes corn. I decided that a change was in order and bought the "Sneaky Chef" cookbook. The french toast is Yum-o. DS didn't notice a thing! Tomorrow for lunch he's having:
Mac and cheese with hot dogs (add some bean puree and some sweet potato)
a clementine (I still want him to SEE fruit and veg and maybe just maybe try some!)
cheese dip (more sweet potatoes and some squash tossed in!) with chips (corn chips)
a brownie (blueberries and spinich-and NOPE you can't tell- I've had two already!)

The Brit is Coming!

Ah, yes, this time last year, I did a post called "The American IS Comming", when my friend Melissa came to visit for a week. This time, my friend Joan is comming to visit! Joan and I taught together at SGS back in Belfast! We've talked a couple of times this year and have e-mail lots. It will be really nice to see her. Any ideas for fun So. Indiana stuff to do?
